Guttate Psoriasis
Guttate psoriasis is sometimes known as ‘tear drop’ or ‘raindrop’ psoriasis. You may have several patches which are small (often less than 1 cm in diameter) and scaly.
Where is it found?
The small spots, like a rash, may appear on your stomach, arms and legs. The soles of your feet and the palms of your hands are not usually affected.
Who gets it?
This type of psoriasis is particularly common in children and teenagers and can develop 1 or 2 weeks after a streptococcal throat infection such as tonsillitis or after a stressful life event.
If you think you may have any of these symptoms you should consult your healthcare team, who will be able to advise on suitable treatment.
